My name is Rupert Holzinger. I am an associate professor at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and I have been using PTR-MS during my entire professional career. I operated instruments on all types of platforms in many different environments and laboratory settings and I was involved in many European and international projects. For more information please visit my personal page at Utrecht University.

PTR-MS is a great technique because it is broad, fast, very sensitive, and – with some reservations – quantitative for unknown/untargeted compounds. However, I see that the potential of this technique is often not fully exploited because both, the operation of PTR-MS in the lab/field, and the analysis of the data can be further optimized.

My goal is to provide an easy-to-access and professional place to go for scientists who look for support with PTR-MS operation and the analysis of Time-of-Flight mass spectrometry data.
